In the late Spring of 2018, I followed as ultramarathoner Rhoda Smoker set a record for the fastest woman to win the Vol State Ultra, a 310 mile cross-Tennessee race with an estimated finish time of about 5 days. Rhoda came in just around 4 days, and came in women's first.
